Testimonials
Beth is a sought-after instructor for her versatility, exceptionally clear and calm instruction, patience, energy and humor.
"I have attended four [workshops] so far and have enjoyed every one. I commend you Beth for your expertise in the way you teach us each pattern including the tricky stitches and using your own “shortcuts” to make them easier to understand. You have tremendous patience with question after question being asked by us all day long and you also provide fun and laughs in every class." "... your teaching skills showing us how to conquer the tough parts amaze me. I would never have tackled any of these patterns myself without the classes." ~Darriel, Onancock, VA Beth was just what I needed when I returned to knitting after a twenty-year hiatus. I'd spent three frustrating weeks trying to get started on a sweater, but I spent as much time ripping as I had knitting. I found Beth through an Internet search, and she did more than help me knit; she helped me gain the confidence I'd been losing during my fumbling beginnings. About six weeks later I'd completed my first sweater, and I've already chosen a pattern for my second and have signed up for more lessons. Soon I know I'll be doing it on my own, but it's a comfort to know that Beth is close by if I have trouble. ~Janet, Silver Spring, MD |
I have had the privilege of attending three different knitting retreats at “A Little Bit Sheepish” in Berlin, Maryland, where Beth Newman was the featured instructor. She was fun and inspiring as an instructor, and I was able to finish each project at home due to her helpful instructions. ~ Christie, Melfa, VA |
